Abstract
The research aims to analyze the effect of per capita GRDP, education, health, poverty on the human development index (HDI) of districts and cities in West Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative research. This study uses panel data analysis, panel data is a combination of time series data with cross section data, the time series data for this study is from 2018 - 2020, while the cross section data consists of 19 districts and cities in West Sumatra, so the total data for this research fifty seven. The analytical model used is the fixed effect model. The results showed that per capita GRDP, education, and health had a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), the poverty had an insignificant negative coefficient on the Human Development Index (HDI).
